I was just sending an email to AJ's team regarding the article in last week's paper about Medicaid's new computer system. When clicking "Search" on JSOnline's site, I found that several stories had been written, as follow-up. The little girl with CP, her case was approved the day the story ran.
Yesterday, they ran another article, saying the state says their backlog is cleared up. You can read the story HERE. To view a list of the original story and all follow-up articles, click HERE.
My answer to that...Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm, NO. There are still kiddos in line for a CI with our CI program. There are actually quite a few kiddos in front of AJ...all waiting on Medicaid approval.
Some of you have asked why we can't just schedule the surgery. Answer: Our program doesn't do that. You must have both an approval or denial from each of your insurance companies. I contacted our CI Program insurance gal again this morning.
The last sentence of yesterday's article reads, "Although the problem is supposedly solved, let us know if there are any further issues."
I am SOOOOOOOO tempted....
